约翰·伯宁罕

1936年生于英国，12岁进入夏山学校就读，20岁进入伦敦中央艺术学院正式习画。他的第一本书《宝儿》（Borka）为他赢得了生平第一个英国图画书最高荣誉——凯特·格林纳威大奖（Kate Greenaway Medal）。从此之后，约翰·伯宁罕每年出版两本书，成为世界知名的图画书创作者，作品更获得“交织着现实与幻想之趣”的最高评价。之后他再度以《和甘伯伯去游河》（Mr. Gumpy’s Outing）拿下第二个凯特·格林纳威大奖，而他的《外公》（Grandpa）和《喂！下车！》（Oi!Get off our Train）已制作成颇受欢迎的动画影片。
